(Ibuprofen Oral Suspension, 100 mg per 5 mL)

A pediatric pain-reliever and fever reducer, Brufen suspension contains Ibuprofen, a non‑steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used for short-term relief of:

• Fever, headache, cold/flu symptoms

• Toothache, muscle/joint pain, painful menstruation

✅ Key Information

• Form: Oral liquid (measure with dosing syringe)

• Dosage (children ≥ 3 months): Up to 30 mg/kg/day, divided doses every ~6 hours; max 1200 mg/day for > 40 kg Med.ma+5Med.ma+5Med.tn+5

• Contraindications: Not for use in late pregnancy (beyond ~24 weeks), peptic ulcers, active bleeding, severe liver/renal/cardiac disease, aspirin-sensitive asthma, lupus VIDAL

⚠️ Common Side Effects

• Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach upset, dyspepsia

💡 Drug Interactions

• Increased risk of bleeding with anticoagulants (e.g. warfarin), aspirin

• May reduce effectiveness of antihypertensives, interact with lithium, methotrexate, tacrolimus, SSRIs, and others
